If I turn Multiclock Shuffle to 99%, the recorded audio is still on the grid (sync with metronome) If I turn the Multiclock Shift to +100ms, the recorded audio is still on the grid (sync with metronome) If I turn the Multiclock Shift to -100ms, the recorded audio is still on the grid (sync with metronome) My problem is, that the physical controls on the Multiclock do not affect the Sub37 or the recorded audio. Recorded audio (Monitor Off) on the Audio Track is perfectly in sync with the metronome - OK The Multiclock outputs four channels of MIDI, DIN or analog clock for synchronization. Audio from the Sub37 is routed from RME UCX Input #6 to Ableton Audio Track - OKħ. Multiclock forwards the Midi notes to Multiclock Midi Din Output #2 which is connected to the Sub 37 - OKĦ. External Instrument is used to send Midi notes to the Multiclock via USB - OKĥ. Changing BPM in Ableton, changes the BPM on the Multiclock - OKĤ. E-RM receives the audio signal and sets the clock - OKģ. E-RM plugin is setup on a standard Midi Track sending an audio signal out from RME UCX output #6 to Multiclock audio in - OKĢ. Just using one synth (Sub37) to start simple.ġ. Mostly for this sort of thing it's pretty straightforward with the MOTU device, set it and forget it.I'm having an issue with setting up the E-RM Multiclock with Ableton. The E-RM Multiclock is a multifarious sync solution and interface designed as a one-stop shop for the synchronization of compatible audio devices. You've made me think about Bitwig again, Moss's work there for controller support is so good! Look into Moss's great scripts for a ton of controllers, and specifically learn to use the Generic Flexi one to create "ports" in Bitwig for those sequencers, drum machines etc. Bitwig likes anything MIDI wise beyond a simple MIDI keyboard to be given specific commands. I've got a Beatstep Pro and Launchpad Pro MKIII here, both sync with Bitwig quite well, but you have to create a Control Surface port for them. Bitwig actually does this slightly better than Digital Performer. Having the daw just send MIDI clock via usb MIDI to the MIDI interface is not working, it needs to be more accurate. ![]() The daw can take care of latency if I am just playing MIDI notes, but when I want the daw to play nicely in sync with external hardware that needs MIDI clock it gets ugly fast. So I got a new macbook m1 pro for the studio and want to have my daw (bitwig) as a master to sync VST insruments and stuff ITB with external MIDI hardware such as drum machines, external sequencers, effects boxes and synths that need MIDI clock for syncing lfos and delays, etc. I have been mostly hardware based but have recently been trying to set up a hybrid system (daw is just so convenient).
